Only tips I have on this front are... dont over do it! Dont become a 'make-up by ReadyMix girl! Less is More! Avoid 'Clown' syndrome!

Blend, blend, blend is the key and by this I mean copy what natal girls wear, with clothes, not just make-up, but remember 'accessorize, accessorize, accessorize' doesnt mean 'everything in your bloody wardrobe all at once!'

As you say blend is the key, only here I'm talking about makeup.

It's strange how even natal girls can't even get this right, you must have seen them. The face is one shade and then under the jaw line and neck it's another with total contrast.

My little sister wears TONS, she really falls into the 'ReadyMix' category, and she does it cos she has some issues with her skin... but we keep telling her that the make-up will only make this worse, but she doesnt listen.

She is 5'6", slim and 36DD, so she makes the most of her bosom and cleavage to detract the eye from her face haha.

On all the trips out I have done I have never realy used any make up
When on the odd ocation I have tried I am never happy and wash it off

Dont know how and what would suit me so I leave it alone

Think a few lessons are called for here

Looking at some of the girls atempts it only reminds me of what not to do
Ready mix yes that fits

I’m in the situation where the only time I have ever warn makeup is at a dressing service, professionally done. I have never attempted to do my own as yet. Maybe a master class at one of the meeting? I’m sure there are a number of girls who would appreciate any help, myself included?

A useful little book is Mary Quant - 'Classic Make-up & Beauty' published by Dorling Kindersley 1998 ISBN 0 7513 0568 5 paperback, mine cost £3-99 but could be more.

Lots of nice piccies on 'how to do it'. OK, so there is lots of it that won't be needed, but it is usefull for tips on what to do, or why you do it. You could say that most make-up books are similar, i.e. tips. Remember these books are published to help girls use make-up properly, which means there must be a lot of them out their who would 'Like to know' as much as us 'T' girls.

Sadly, I like a lot of Tgirls out there have very strong facial hair growth. So even if I shave real close, the stubble starts to show through after a short time. A few years ago I was in the miltary, and used to get no end of "talkings to" about not having shaved....and that was at 9.00am! in the end I argued back instead of taking it, not the right thing but they couldnt do anything as I was right, they only had to keep an eye on me during the day and I would sprout like one of them play-doh dolls from a few years ago.
Anyway I digress.
So I find I have to apply much more 'slap' than I would like, but if there are girls out there with the same problems as me this is how I do it (courtesy of a very nice Max Factor lady that used to work in Manchester a few years ago).

1. Allow plenty of time, and then some when you are first starting.
Shave real close with a nice new razor, I use Gillette mach3 but use whats good for you, then shave again if it helps.....but slowly, dont cut yourself.
2. Apply a good non greasy moisturiser, I use Olay.
3. I take a bath, do my legs etc. (see I am allowing time)
4. Dry well and check face, all ok? then moisturise again (its a great base for the makeup).
5. Start phaffing with clothes, by doing this you are allowing the moisturiser to sink in and dry.
6. Time to start covering up, using liquid foundation(Max Factor in my case)apply over the beard area, this is to seal in the stubble, so dont cover your entire face with it. I tend to apply several thin layers, but let them dry in between. Blend in a touch to the adjoining areas(dont over do it).
7. Let it dry.....getting the idea? Carry on phaffing with your outfit.
8. Next comes a powder foundation, no surprise here...I use Max Factor! Does what it says on the tin....goes on like a powder and spreads like a liquid. Cover the entire face and neck as required, including over the top of the beard area, this seals the liquid beard cover and becomes a seamless coverage. Eyes...or should I say eyelids? the lot, like the entire face.
9. Light brush with a...well brush, to blend all.
10. Do your eye makeup, mascara etc.
11. Blusher on cheeks, dont overdo.
12. Lips, I use Max Factor....lip finity, let the colour coat dry, then apply the gloss. Done and sealed for the night.

No heavy beard covering plaster, and it works. I honestly go out pubbing and clubbing for a long time....like til 4.00am and still no sign of stubble coming through. Often complimented on my perfect makeup? well they do and I dont agree but what the heck.
Wish I could have skin that didnt need it, but I dont, so make the best of a bad job.
Hope this is of help, I am not an expert but this works for me.

Thanks Sarah I've been experimenting this weekend and this gives much better results than my previous system.
Funnily enough when I first dressed myself nearly 35 years ago I used to use max Factor Sheer Genius liquid foundation in a tube , just like my mum had done before and it covered superbly. Then they stopped making it and I tried all sorts of other things until being talked into the Dermablend system when I went to Transformation for a makeover in the mid 80's.
Been doing it WRONG ever since !!
The only other system I tried recently is MAC , which is great but a bit pricey for everyday use.
Lol,

Glad you tried it Melissa, it works dont it!
Do have to experiment though, to get it just right. Trying different levels of the liquid foundation for stubble cover, surprising how little you can get away with. But if you do have to slap it on as you will be out til early hours it still looks good, flawless as Ive been told....
Once you get comfy with it you can do the lot including your bath in 45 mins, not bad at all, but a little rushed so much better to allow more time.
I doubt you will ever go back to Dermablend now.

one i came up with myself.. i was looking for a neckless to match my nails for my last CXH appointment,, any way i could not find the right colour but i did find a neckless with just one heart shaped stone ,, only small ,, it was clear though so i painted it lightly with the same nail polish i was using on my nails,, a few light coats and it was perfect,, 6 weeks on,, and after wearing said neckless every day the nail polish is still on the stone perfectly..
