This is why I think it's very dangerous to not tell a long term partner about your past.

Otherwise to me your whole relationship is based on a lie, not a lie that you are a natal female (or natal male, in the case of F2Ms), but that you spent your entire life as a female.

I can fully imagine why a long term partner would be very upset on discovering the truth, and why they would feel betrayed and angered.
