I've been on chix for a while now and would say that its not really for me, however if your seekink attention from leery admirers then good luck!
Its ok for live chattin I suppose for those closeted TV's, where there appears to be plenty of mutual support and interest.

from my own experience of using tvchix i find that there is a type of clique group and if your not part of it then you dont stand a chance of joining in, the amount of times i've entered the chatrooms and said 'hi' and not had a response is unbelievable, having said that when you do get to talk to someone you can have a good conversation and not a perverted either, i'd say stick to our forum here and with the girls at renaissance, for me they are a better class of girl and a lot more helpful too, my personal experinces through the past 4 years of being a part of renaissance has been down to the girls being there for me and having someone to talk to when i've needed it

I think that tv chix is getting very cheesy...:D I recently uploaded a photo of a beautiful Victorian lady on there. They kicked up such fuss in the end i took it off. Its was in no way vulgar or distasteful.
So am going to delete the account as all you get on there now is rubbish..:p

Well no disrespect Girls,but im just a tourist in Blackpool:( i use TV Chix to stay in touch with local Girls to me;) and Beyond! a lot of my freinds are not part of the Ren as they do not live near Blackpool and tend to go out in Manchester.

I just ignore any Admirers,and i dont bother with Chatrooms anyway:D so no problems there;)

Accidentally 'stumbled' onto this site a couple of years ago, to which I learned that when you signed up you had to select a "Compulsory dropdown field", which described the look of how you dressed!:rolleyes:........ It always makes me smile when websites do this, because in a way, it may be form of compliance and you accept the “ethos” behind the site:eek:……….. I see it as “Horses for courses!” and “ Whatever floats your boat!”:rolleyes:…….From what I have seen of it, I’m not all that impressed and would rather go out wearing Fishnets and a Miniskirt waving my British passport in Basra or the rough side of Kabul,Afghanistan” before ever signing up to TV Chix!...........:D

I joined TV Chix as well, and all you say above is true, but ignoring all that (which I do, the admirers, chatroom,cliques etc), I have met some real gems - such as Natalie, who has since joined us on the Forum. A lot of people join TV chix for all sort of reasons, and your reasons are your filter. I hope to go St Audries, if I do, I know couple of those who go regularly through being on TV Chix - people like me. I know two very closeted T girls who dare not come out - by writing to them through TV Chix about what I do, what we do, Ren - maybe one day they will have courage to come out and come to Blackpool, or as Jackie as suggested be directed to Ren forum, which may help them better. In broad spectrum of TV chix, you can find some really nice people - like Jackie

I thought I'd comment on this old thread because I share the views of Ellena and Jackie on this one. TVChix can be quite naff and there are others that are even seedier would you believe, but I have met a couple of nice girls on there and one of them joined us last night in Manchester and was a delightful girl.
I think girls end up on various site for varying reasons. I discovered Ren because I was looking for a TV Hotel for my stay last New Years Eve in Blackpool. Some girls obviously find Chix and then don't look further. I always tell every girl I get talking regularly to about Ren and what a lovely, supportive bunch of girls we have here.
I shall be keeping my Chix account going and wading through the crap and filtering out the idiots as usual, because quite often you meet someone nice or someone closeted who needs encourgament and support and sadly for them, Chix is all they know. Gosh, I feel like a missionary!
During my recent bout of doubt and depression I closed my Chix account down immediately, but simply couldn't walk away from Ren. I am back on Chix now; but Chix is like a take away curry whilst Ren is like a 5 course meal in an exclusive restaurant :)

I think that TVChix is a wonderful site in it's own way, far more diverse that the group we have here. I have meet some really nice people on there, with whom I've gone on to develop very good relationships. However there are some seedier elements one their admittedly but they are not hard to avoid.

The Chix forum is an excellent place for a great variety of intelligent and thought-out information.

It also allows space for a very varied and detailed profile, which enables me to write my thoughts.

Some fun also can be had in the chat rooms also.

Wow, TVChix is definatly a strong subject for you all.

For my part Im going to sound like a boring old prude but so be it.

Ive been on the site sometime ago. maybe I pressed the wrong links (or buttons) but I never found the friends or interesting things you describe. What I found was sex or at least the never ending offer of it. Isnt that what the site is all about? If not then as I say Ive missed the point somewhere. To be fair I didnt spend long exploring the site but after being confronted with screen shots of some blokes scrawney genitals in reply to a normal post. Some bloke "wanting to meet in the woods. Definately cant accomodate cos he's married". I decided its not for me. To begin with I laughed a lot but isnt it boring really and very sad and pathetic. Ive done all that and really dont want to go back. I hope Ive grown up a bit. My ego just doesnt need it.

As I say, I may have missed the deeper more rewarding sides of TV Chix and dont want to offend anyone else that has discovered the more meaningful sides. But thats my first and last impression of the site.

I also dont want to offend you all by what Ive said but what Ive said is the reality Ive seen. You may describe it as seedy but the word seedy is a cop out. It is to me as Ive described. And Im confortable and glad that Ive moved on.

Each to her own and Ive no problem with that.

OK so Ive opened myself up as a boring prude but one of the reasons (not all) I joined this forum is cos it is unrestricted. TVChix has more restrictions stamped on it than a ten tonne parcel with second class stamps.
I like the forum and would hate it if it were reduced to others like TVChix.

I think all the points made about TVChix are perfectly valid. I don't care for the seedy photos either, I think male genitalia are the most hideous thing ever and I do not want to have them shoved down my throat; metaphorically or otherwise! And some of the girls on there give sluts a bad name.
However, there are some nice people to be found there; it's just that on here, you don't have to make the effort to find nice people, they're all around you ;)

I think I can say with supreme confidence that this forum will never be another TVChix.

Yes it has a seedy side! so no offence taken! but then again i have a darker side!;)i am no angel! so Chix suits me in many ways.But im not into the Admirers or Panty wearers, and the huge number of time wasters on there.

If it was not for freinds met on Chix,i would not have ventured out,and i would not be here also.It is easy to avoid the people you do not wish to speak to.But Jan is correct i would say it is 70% motivated by sex.

No offence to you Girls but many of my freinds will not join the Ren simply because they do not live in the Blackpool and lancashire area which is understandable.So chix is essential for me to stay in touch with freinds over a wider area,including the US and Europe:cool:

I don't think Male genitalia are that hideous Joanne, I just don't like mine as they on the wrong body. But like you I don't need to see them on a person's profile, up front. What does that tell you about a person? Not a lot, except that they have a complex about their own genitals.

I'm not going to comment about having it push down ones throat.:)

The effort is worthwhile in quite a few cases to find nice people, and like you said have met one or two from there.

I don't think this forum is anything like the Chix one. I have to say that parts of the chix forum, the Advice and Ask Dr. Emma, are absolutely great sources of practical information and have helped me quite a lot, but the general forum is total trash.

I shouldn't really say anything as some of you like this particular site, and I've got nothing against those of you who do, although I can't see why. I looked at it a long time ago and decided that it was for those who it is named after, not the likes of an old age pensioner M2F like me.

It seems to me that it is like quite a lot of other Trans' sites where everyone is to wrapped up in their own little world to listen to or accept anyone elses opinions, and I cannot see where they think it is funny or acceptable to show obscene pictures, (ie peoples bits).

I wasn't going to comment on this one, but in the end I couldn't help myself, after all I am always complaining that members don't join in enough so I have to practice what I preach (smiles ruefully)
