It is reported that the said barred person, our Melissa was seen trying to take her drink outside.......... unfortunately this is not allowed where there is no area provided by the premises.

Sounds a bit harsh, was this a first offence or had she tried to do this on previous occasions?

If it was a first offence couldn't someone at Roxy's (door staff, bar staff etc) have simply told her she could not take drinks outside?

The reason for it is probably due to not being able to take glass outside onto the street (this includes bottles and is in operation over the whole Town Centre) and that part of Queen Street is often the scene of fighting on certain nights (due mainly to Walkabout and Yates)

To tell the truth the girl on the door was acting a bit like a Nazi, insofar she asked me not to smoke in the doorway just as I was lighting up........ I Know that!..... I had to stand somewhere as it was quite breezy and It was my intention to move away from the door.

Yes Indeed! It would appear remnants of the Nazi Party made it to Blackpool as well as Argentina after 1945 and are alive and well;)

Just a quick note regarding taking drinks outside at Roxy's, the upstairs Smoking area is on the balcony were I've seen customers with drinks, now was this area available on that Evening or not because if its quiet the upstairs area is roped off, however the member of Security could have been more tactfull & perhaps Mel was a little worse for wear, we usually have a good relationship with the staff there.
