Can anyone surgest a place that will not make a bid deal about haveing your nails done properly? mine have now grown and would love to keep them looking good;) Have always walked past allot of these nail studios but felt uneasy entering:o would love to have maybe some nail art done or just have nails done properly for once.
Any ideas :confused:

What are you wanting doing full acrylic set or gel set or just a manicure?
There is a acrylic set that you can buy and its do it yourself and quite easy as far as i know you can buy from Argos call Rio Acrylic nail extensions you can get a couple of sets out of this and is around £20.

If you are going to do it yourself, I buy the cheap kits for usually a couple of quid. Just select the nails that fit and bin the rest.
To get a good finish, I use blue-tac to stick the nails to a plate or a tray, then paint the nail varnish on, so much easier than doing it on your hands, no mess either.
I use the smallest amount of glue, just enough to keep them on all night, then soak them off in a removing solution that melts them away.
Results are good, not too expensive and the next day no sign you had them on.

Assuming you were to go to a salon Enfemme, I think you would not have any problems. I've had mine done in Debenhams on a number of occasions now (American Nails concession) and when I turned up at the one in Cardiff last month I had the un-divided attention of 3 girls who were just great.

I dont think you would have any problems in Bloke Mode either!.... Remember Mr Crisp, the ponytailed Bad guy in Kindergarten Cop who had his manicure interupted by Arnie?.... So a man having a manicure is not out of the ordinary today.... There is an American Nails in my local Shopping mall and on occasions I have seen the odd guy in there too!....(perhaps they are T girls.... Who Knows!;)).... All I could say is, your money is just as good as anybody elses.

Cold Called the one in Wilmslow,Cheshire today!... Will be having mine done this Friday morning before Sparkle and a well earned rest in Blackpool afterwards!

I see you're an Essex girl Dawn, I used to go to the American Nail Bar across from Dagenham Heathway underground when I was down there.Most places seem OK about manicures,best advice I can offer is if you see a girl with nice nails ask her where she got them done and check it out.
