Hi all
For those of you who don't know me I'm Debbie, from Cumbria, an ex-regular but these days very much an irregular (visitor to Ren that is).
I started coming to Ren in, I think, about 1999 - age has got to me so I'm not entirely sure. Anyway, quite a while ago - and when it was at Central Drive. Before I arrived I'd never set foot outside the house as 'myself', but before long I was out and about with gay abandon. By 2005 I'd really found myself and in July of that year I started living full time as a female. A place I never thought I'd arrive at - and one which was assisted to a very great degree by the very good people I met at Renaissance - not least Miss Collins. Thank you all.
I don't come so often now, I don't need the life-line (which it certainly was) and my life has opened up to all sorts of new experiences and opportunities. However I'll never forget the part Ren played in getting me to where I am today - and I always enjoy myself on the rare occasions that I do make it down to Blackpool - seeing the regulars and the new faces that have emerged from the metaphorical closet.
So, I'm pleased to join the new forum and to meet you all. I won't be a regular poster - I never am on any forum - but it will be nice to keep in touch with what goes on.
I look forward to seeing you all in the not too distant future :)
Love, Debs xx
PS the 'soots' bit in my user name refers to my (black) furry feline friend - Sooty. AKA 'queen of all she surveys', 'sootsmalutz' or 'dark avenger' - depending on what mood she's in.
