Jan Hamilton interview on Radio 2 today

Did anyone else hear Jan Hamiltion (the ex-para Captain TS) being interviewed on Radio 2 today?

Just wondering what everyone else thought?

I didnt watch her TV documentary and had heard some negative stuff about her, but over the last week I have seen a couple of things about her that have caught my attention.

Quite a bit of what she said on the radio today made a lot of sense and struck chords with me. I think I like her.

Beyond her personal crusade, whether she likes it or not, she is also a representative of the 'T-Kingdom'. Public perception of the transgendered world will be influenced by her increasing appearances on TV/radio.

I for one find her comments intelligent, her manner polite but forthright and generally a very good representation of our world.

I am quite happy with her being the best ambassador that we have had for quite some time.

....it does concern me a little though, that when a photo of her is published, it always seems to be excessively glamorous - the highest hees, the shortest dress etc which is more consistent with the public stereotypical image of a 'tranny'. This seems to contradict Jan's message of being wanted to be accepted as a woman. I know that she does dress more conservatively generally; perhaps she could try to extend that image with the tabloids ?
