Be careful what you wish for......
Not every TG person wants to live in Blackpool, we come here thinking it's a haven of sorts but the number of idiots (that's being polite so that Regine doesn't delete me from existance - joke Regine) the number of idiots is too great for my liking and I know i'm not alone in that opinion.
I will be leaving Blackpool as soon as my financial situation allows.
If you insist on moving to Blackpool all I will say is think about it very carefully, weigh up the pros and cons, choose carefully where to live (not Grange Park or Mereside Estate) and be very careful when (or if) you get here.
Best of luck if you do move here and I for one will try to make you feel very welcome.

Wherever you move to, there is good and bad. Blackpool is the same as any other town. However we do have a really good rapore with the local police and there are plenty of places to chill out or have a good boogy. Also Sarah and the others are always going to restaurants and to see the shows without hassle.
Generally if you dress sensibly you should be okay.. if you dress to attract attention wander around at 3or 4 in the morning you may get the odd comment...
Rose lives here and has transitioned here and she gets on with everyday life, and I have been here for 18yrs and I don't think it's a bad place.... I think it's what you make of it in the end...

Yes Lynda I do agree with what you said and I don't seem to get any hassle from the said idiots (unlike some - no names mentioned) but their very presence (due to the arcades) makes me feel uncomfortable.
I've heard some horror stories of places which you would not think of but I'd still rather live somewhere other than Blackpool.
This is merely MY opinion and I don't intend for it to influance anyone else.
We are all free to make our own choices in life.

The only thing which may be a factor is employment as good jobs can be hard in this area as there are no large major employers here...

i would say in the last four or five years i have not had a single problem,,hope i am not tempting fate,,,i have built up quite a relationship with numerous people,,, a lot of those work in the various shops,,,people who knew me before and after too,,, and every single one of them has been fabulous and always ask me how i am getting on and when i am having the surgery etc,, i talk to most of the woman who work a the pharmacy counter in boots,, the other week one said,, "just look at you" " you look lovely and this week one said " you are looking very glamorous today"on the other hand it is 100% woman so far, they dont seem to have a problem with what i am doing,,as to men,, well the old sex question comes into play i guess...thats all they ever seem to have on their minds i think...
it seems the more open about things you are the more people seem to accept you.....if you come across as being just another woman then you will have more chance of fitting in,,,just my experience ,,,,,,,,,,,,so far
i even get on with the local working girls and have been offered a girls night out by them on a number of occasions,,,,
you may well get trouble from the stag and hen partys, especially the stag partys,,but they hassle everyone...you have to think like a woman,, thats easy if you are one like me,,,you wont find me wandering round the town center late on a saturday or sunday in season,,,or purposely putting my self in awkward positions,,,,,
